Possibly the only remaining community center of its kind in the nation — built by neighbors, for the good of the community.
Originally incorporated as the Maitland Civic Center, the Venue on Lake Lily has, since 1965, been a Maitland-grown and Maitland-supported nonprofit with a single mission: to provide a place where our community can gather and enjoy public, private, and secular events — in the heart of Central Florida.
We are a non-government-owned, non-government-supported 501(c)(3) that has thrived for decades. Our charter directs us to give back: providing facilities for the civic, religious, literary, charitable, educational, social, and recreational interests of Maitland residents and businesses. All funds from venue rentals go directly to administering and maintaining this storied place — and to the causes we serve.
This is why the Venue on Lake Lily is uniquely suited to fundraising galas, charity balls, and benefit events. When you raise money here, the venue itself is part of the mission. We donate 10% of all rentals to United Abolitionists, IDignity, and the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation — so every event held here gives twice.
We also host our own signature benefits, like Corks & Forks, bringing the community together to raise funds and celebrate the place where memories are made.
A welcoming, neutral home for galas, benefits, civic forums, and community celebrations of every size and cause.
Our charter directs us to serve. Ten percent of every rental — plus our own fundraising events — supports Central Florida causes.
Stewarding a storied lakeside landmark, debt-free of government support, for the next generation of Maitland.
We don't just serve as Maitland's premier event space — our charter directs us to give back to the community.Venue on Lake Lily
